Irinox, the Treviso-based company specialised in innovative technologies for the cooking and catering trades, is a partner of the 26th edition of Artissima, the most important Italian contemporary art fair recognised internationally for its focus on experimentation and innovation.
Irinox will be part of the Artissima fair with a number of initiatives, first and foremost the Refresh Irinox Award in the Drawings section, meant to promote an arts practice that captures the expressiveness of creative actions in a space suspended between ideas and the finished work: an expressive means that is acquiring new popularity and is gradually gaining momentum in the market, particularly among new collectors.
The award promoted by Irinox celebrates the artist who best highlights the expressive intensity of a drawing from a contemporary perspective. The award will be presented during Artissima by an international jury consisting of Simon Castets, director, Swiss Institute, New York, Krist Gruijthuijsen, director, KW Berlin Institute of Contemporary Art, Berlin; Annika Gunnarsson, prints and drawings curator, MMV Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Ole G. Slyngstadli, director, Oslo Biennale.
Now in its third edition, the Refresh Irinox Award has been growing in popularity, and this year will also see the acquisition by Irinox of one of the works exhibited in the Drawings section.
The Award results from the co-operation between the Artissima fair and Irinox, a company that is traditionally renowned for its ability to specialise and innovate, and anticipate market trends; founded in 1989, Irinox proudly uses 100% Italian technology and manufacture, and is recognized worldwide as a blast chiller specialist.
