Goal: Carbon Neutrality by 2040
Our company is willing to play its role in facing environmental challenges by embracing sustainable consumption and production patterns aiming to reduce their impact so as to preserve resources for the generations to come.
We have a simple, yet ambitious goal to reach by 2021:
We wish and want to outline and make public our plan of action for CARBON NEUTRALITY by 2030 for the Business Unit Professional and the Business Unit Home, and by 2040 for the Business Unit Electrical Enclosures.
This is a goal which has been established by the Paris Agreement (Treaty) - it is the first ever binding global agreement over climatic change being embraced during and by the Paris Convention in 2015.
We are to measure our production plants’ impact on the environment, as well as that of all our employees and collaborators, so as to determine subsequent containment and reduction actions.
Here is our plan of action in order to reach our goal of Carbon Neutrality:
- Our first project is to shift from our current 30% use of energy from renewable sources and reach a 100% use of such sources by 2022.
- Our second step concerns our collaborators and goods’ mobility: we are caring more and more about this issue by searching for new ways of reducing this mobility impact; e.g. by Xing suppliers willing to reduce their environmental impact and, as such, being able to measure their CO2 emissions.
- We are willing to examine all our products, starting from their packaging, aiming to decrease their impact on the environment; we are also willing to support any designing process which properly combines top performance with low environmental impact, throughout the life cycle of the product.
- We shall play a very active role in preserving the overall Environment: we shall use forestation as opposite to de-forestation. We shall better assess our green-house-gas (GHG) emissions, our waste management, our use of water resources, by urging all our employees and collaborators to embrace environmentally-conscious-and-caring behaviour, starting from individual, daily simple actions.
