The third edition of the IRINOX SAVE THE FOOD prize, which is once again hosted by MIA Photo Fair, the most established international fair dedicated to photography in Italy, has begun, and will be held for the first time at the Allianz MiCo spaces in Milan from April 11 to 14, 2024. The launch of the third edition took place with the publication of the call for artists on the MIA Photo Fair website. All those who wish to participate in the competition must submit their applications no later than Feb. 25, 2024.
The award promotes Irinox's mission and values and the company's focus on the theme of food in all its forms, in particular, with regard to combating food waste. Today, waste produces 7 percent of total CO2 emissions globally, and if it were a nation it would rank third after China and the U.S. in the ranking of the most polluting states. This is a social problem, but it also has an environmental implication. This is why Irinox has decided to take the field for the third year in a row with the Irinox Save The Food award, which aims to promote artists who, through the use of images in all their forms, address the issue of food waste reduction and food sustainability.
