The Irinox Award at Identità Golose

Irinox S.p.A. Società Benefit awarded Chiara Pavan today at Identità Golose for her commitment to sustainability and, in particular, in the fight against food waste.

Identità Milano is the most important national and international congress of haute cuisine and pastry, held in Milan from February 20 to 24, and this year celebrated its twentieth anniversary with an edition on the theme "Identità Future."

Irinox promoted this award together with Identità Golose for the second consecutive year. In the 2024 edition, the recognition was awarded to Norbert Niederkofler.

The decision to award the prize to Chiara Pavan, Michelin-starred chef of the Venissa restaurant, is for her daily commitment to waste, as stated in the motivation: "in the past year, few have reflected so systematically on the tide of food we throw away every day. And she does it with an entire menu that is the sum of ingenious recovery techniques, where even the crumbs left over from breakfast turn into delicious dishes for lunch and dinner."

The central theme of this edition of Identità Golose was the future. And the fight against food waste is a theme that concerns the future of people and the planet, on which Irinox is committed with the "Save the Food" project, also presented in a talk during the event.

Founded in 1989, Irinox invented and introduced the rapid temperature blast chiller to the domestic and professional market. An innovative technology that the company has brought worldwide, providing an important contribution to the professional catering and pastry sector.

A competence that Irinox has decided to make available to reduce food waste and its negative impact on the environment, economy, and society.
