The sustainability report is ready and downloadable on our website. A document that recounts projects, initiatives and results that we have achieved during 2022 with a view to the transparency and accountability that distinguishes us. The Irinox Sustainability Report is mindful of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), which are the international standards to be met in preparing this document. The Irinox Sustainability Report, which is also available in its English version, is divided into 12 chapters, which are then divided into the 100 pages of the report.
After the letter to stakeholders and the presentation of the company's values and activities, the heart of the document focuses on the initiatives undertaken on ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) aspects, or the 3 Pillars of Sustainability for the European Union. These are the three fundamental factors for verifying, measuring, and sustaining a company's or organization's sustainability efforts and which translated mean environment, community, and governance. In the BdS Irinox goes into detail on the different issues.
On the environmental front, 928,000 euros have been invested in 100 percent electricity produced from renewable sources, installation of the 8 charging stations for electric cars and electric scooters, use of propane gas on Irinox Professional products, 45 percent reduction of plastic consumed and 100 percent reduction of paper just to name a few projects.
On the Social aspect concerning people, the Sustainability Report has divided the projects carried out for people and community support into two categories. Included in the first category are corporate welfare aspects (daycare, smart working, short week, electric car charging) and Irinox's substantial training facility, particularly on digital and inclusion issues. In the second category, on the other hand, there is support for local stakeholders, for example, associations, cultural events, sports events, etc. In this area, Irinox stands out, in particular, for its connection with the world of universities and culture, as highlighted by its support for the Irinox Save The Food Award within Mia Fair, the most important photography exhibition in Italy held in Milan.
Finally, Irinox on the governance front is characterized by being a Benefit Company. The company is committed on the reporting front with the preparation of the impact report and sustainability report, which confirm the vocation to transparency that is also one of the company's values. Alongside these activities during 2022 was the activation of the Whistleblowing portal for reports of harmful behavior in the company and the adherence to the Un Global Compact, the pact signed voluntarily with the United Nations that certifies the commitment on issues related to sustainability at 360 degrees.
