The second edition of the Irinox - Save The Food Award concluded in Milan, within MIA Fair the most established and recognized Italian fair entirely dedicated to the photographic image. The jury unanimously chose Maria Giovanna Giugliano's project entitled "Ordinary Pleasures" for the ability of the shots to "shed light on the strong relationship that people have with food through their senses." The shots will become part of the Irinox art collection.
The Irinox Save The Food contest is designed to highlight photographs capable of telling the story of food in its many variables and social, economic and cultural implications. This year's edition of the Irinox - Save The Food Award was distinguished by a wide participation and a high quality profile of the projects presented for this reason the Xion of finalists was extended from 10 to 12 plus 3 in honorable mention.
With this initiative Irinox confirms its commitment to the fight against food waste. Irinox S.p.A. has always been attentive to the problems of environmental sustainability, with the aim of spreading the culture of preservative refrigeration, to totally eliminate waste of food, time, energy and thus able to block intact the properties of food and maintain them over time.
