IRINOX AT IDENTITÀ GOLOSE WITH NO WASTE AWARD

Irinox S.p.A. protagonist at Identità Milano, the most important gastronomic congress in Italy, and one of the most prestigious in the world, the "No Waste" award ceremony was held. The award was presented by Irinox S.p.A. - a Benefit Society that decided to support this initiative that recognizes commitment to the fight against food waste.

The "No Waste" award, now in its second edition, went to Michelin-starred chef Norbert Niederkofler, who has always been considered a trailblazer and pioneer on the front of sustainability and environmentally conscious cuisine and, in particular, attention to reducing waste as emphasized in the motivation: "to get to three stars is already a titanic feat to do so by intrepreting the territory and with a maniacal attention to sustainability is another incredible achievement."

"There is no innovation without disobedience: the revolution today" is the theme of Identità Milano 2024, the Italian leg of Identità Golose, held in Milan March 9-11. Like every one, it will be an important moment of discussion on the world of cuisine in all its dimensions and will also provide a glimpse into the future.

Irinox's support for this initiative is part of the company's broader "Save The Food" project, which aims to deepen knowledge, awareness and dissemination of virtuous behavior in the fight against waste. Today, in fact, food waste is a complex problem, but one of enormous specific weight if we consider that every year, according to data from the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), we throw food worth 7 billion euros (1/3 of wasted food) into the trash and that this has an impact on the environment because 7% of total CO2 emissions globally depends on waste. And the most recent data from the Waste Watcher Observatory compiled by Ipsos tells us that we waste 500 grams of food every week.
